Doggy Day Care is a home-based service in Capalaba, for small/medium sized dogs. We are on 2.5 acres of sub-tropical land with structured areas designed for the dogs, safety being the primary focus.​

How we provide a safe and fun environment for the dogs in our day care:​

• Groups are run by Claire - a qualified dog trainer and expert in dog behaviour

• Small groups - we cap our numbers (depends on particular dogs in group) and ensure that all the dogs in each group interact well together.

• Dogs are small/medium size - we do not take larger breeds in our groups, to ensure safety during play.

• Behaviour assessments - each dog has a free behaviour assessment to check their suitability for day care. We do not accept dogs with aggression issues or are not sociable with dogs or people. They are then placed in a group that is suitable for that dog, usually taking into account age, play style, size and personality traits.

• All dogs need to be fully vaccinated and de-sexed.

• Dogs are collected and returned in a spacious, air-conditioned vehicle equipped with harnesses and seat belt clips.

• One handler - the owner/operator, Claire, works on building close relationships with all the dogs, and has a knowledge of their personality and any triggers. Every interaction is managed closely and her close bond with the dogs and her ability to read the dog's body language creates a positive environment, free from incidents. 

• Small operation - we offer complete transparency on the operation of our day care and the care of your dog. This gives you trust and peace of mind about their safety and well-being. Claire aims to build close relationships with not just the dogs but the pet-parents as well. We have a close community and a Facebook group where information and photos/videos are shared.

• Structured days - dogs thrive on routine and we have times allocated for exercise, socialisation, nosework, rest time, baths and training.​
