Bayside Barkers is owned, operated and managed by Claire Gapp,  a wife and mum to 2 humans, 3 dogs, 1 cat, 1 central-bearded dragon and numerous chickens. Bayside Barkers originally started as Bayside Pet and Home Care in 2013 as a pet-sitting and dog walking service and this quickly evolved to providing day care services.​ Claire is a qualified dog trainer and also has qualifications in canine massage and pet-first aid. She is always striving to improve her knowledge on dog behaviour and has is also now embarking on a new journey as a dog breeder of her favourite dog breed, the Brussels Griffon.

Dogs love small social groups with whom which they have bonded and they respond well to structure and familiar surroundings. With 13 years experience we have dogs happily interacting of all ages. My goal is to continue providing a 5 star experience for our local dogs and families, which means we will not sacrifice quality day care for increased numbers.
